OUR MINISTRY
In a world where scientific integrity and accountability is lacking, astronomical theories abound which blatantly contradict forensic evidence and fail to adhere to the Biblical account of creation. It is so important, now more than ever, to show people how “The heavens declare the Glory of God” (Psalm 19:1) both visually and scientifically.
Day4 seeks to bring knowledge, evidence, and boldness to Christians so they can use the tools of astronomy to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ right in their own neighborhoods using Biblical discernment.
Join us on the journey to share the truth and love of Christ to those around us as we seek out the heavens God created for our enjoyment!
Our Leadership
Parker Eng
President / Founder
Parker obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration in both Real Estate and Marketing from Baylor University in 1993.
He has been a real estate asset manager for over 30 years and is currently owner of Jill Parker Real Estate (residential brokerage) and Reallegiance Real Estate (commercial development). A Christian since elementary school, Parker has always had a passion for encouraging Christians to build their faith and sharing the love of Christ and Gospel with others. Parker currently sits on the board of several Christian ministries including Probe Ministries, Know Why, and now Worship In Motion & Day 4 Astronomy. He is a former member of the Texas Astronomical Society and has been an astronomer for around 25 years. Parker and Jill, his wife of over 19 years, are decades long members of Prestonwood Church (Plano, TX) where Parker is a deacon and also director for Kerby Anderson’s (host of Point of View Radio) Examine Sunday School Class for over 15 years. Parker’s other interests include astronomy & telescopes, audio/video production, photography & astrophotography, drones, computers, gardening, event planning, and organizational leadership.
James Worrell
Director of Faith & Education / Founder
James received his bachelor’s degree in geology from the University of Texas in Arlington.
He is passionate about revealing God’s power and majesty through the tools of astronomy. James uses telescopes and the night sky to help build up the faith of the Church. Originally a theistic evolutionist, he discovered his faith in secular opinion and old ages was inconsistent with a biblical worldview. He has since become a biblical creationist and believes there is a great falling away within the church due to professing Christians supporting atheistic evolutionary ideas. James’s hobbies include, hiking, backpacking, and studying ancient civilizations and their historical context to the Bible. James has been married to his wife Rebekah for over 30 years and has three children.
Perry Holifield
Director of Biblical Sciences
Perry studied Marketing and Management at Abilene Christian University.
He was marketing and sales manager for multiple advertising companies which took him to New Mexico, Nevada, and Hawaii. Believe it or not, he doesn’t consider Hawaii a prize location, longterm. He has been a Private Investigator since 1995 (it’s nothing like Magnum PI). Bible studies with students from Taiwan, turned the focus of his investigative expertise to apologetics. He joined Day 4 Astronomy in March 2021. Perry has been married to his wife Teresa for 20 years and has two daughters.

Through our monthly meetings, events, or on location programs, Day4 presenters are ready to teach, train, and mentor groups of all ages and knowledge levels.

Chapters
As Day4 Astronomy grows, our goal is to set up chapters of the ministry around the country. This will allow us to reach more people in more places using astronomy as a platform for sharing the love of Christ!
Day4 Dark Sites
A Day4 Astronomy dark site will be a secure Day4 location free of light pollution that will allow members to maximize celestial viewing. Our goal is to purchase or lease 10-20 acre sites in locations ideal for observation and imaging all night long. Our vision is to set up a number of 10’x10’ concrete pads (some with electrical outlets) spaced about 10 yards apart that will allow enough space for a car, a pitched tent, and ample space for telescope and imaging gear.
Publications
By creating scientific, evidence-based, engaging publications with content supported by scripture, Day4 Astronomy aims to reach as broad an audience as possible right where they are.
